Here are the MLS referees for this upcoming weekend, March 29 and 30.

You’ll notice that some of the officials – including the fourth official for my hometown Earthquakes, Ioannis Stavridis – were replacement referees. So, it does appear that PRO is working some of these guys into the rotation.

Plus, MLS may have scored the jackpot on Best Referee Name Ever.

World, meet Kermit Quisenberry (above).

He’s actually pretty cute, with his Mark Clattenburg-esque chicken hair. But then, every Kermit I’ve ever heard of is cute. In fact, I’m fairly certain that you don’t get very far in life being named Kermit unless you’re adorable.

Also, doesn’t that guy totally look like he’s saying: “CURSE YOU, VILLAIN!!!”

And yet, Kermit seems unmoved.*
