Serie A Referees: April 25-28
It must suck to be an Italian referee not named Nicola Rizzoli.
He basically owns that league, and whenever there’s a big match, he’s pretty much like: “All your base are belong to us!”.
Little dude’s not into sharing.*
No other referee is really going to have a legitimate shot at anything cool until Rizzoli retires or gets the measles.
In the meantime, the totally measle-less Rizzoli (above) takes Inter v. Napoli. Paolo Tagliavento picks up the scraps of Roma v. AC Milan.
*Or maybe he is. I’m not here to judge. That’s for every man to decide for himself.

I dunno…Honey Badger had the CL final last year, the Europa before that, and he’s had some pretty big European games. He’s also rumored to be an early favorite for the World Cup final.
He’s well on his way to Collina-level legendary status. Plus, he has more hair.

As a short referee, Honey Badger has (for the last two years or so) been a personal hero of mine.

I know, right?? He’s one of my favorites, as well. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in awe-inspiring self confidence.
